  3. Thoughts on managing your own business? REAL HARD. Running your own business is challenging, but choose your “hard.” As with anything in life, what you put in is what you’ll get out. Put in the work, and the results will speak for themselves. Entrepreneurship demands faith and courage, the ability to think outside the box, and the hope that things will work out. If they don’t, you must learn to pivot and make it work. I’ve worked for free before. Why? Because I see it as a long-term investment, honing my craft until it reaches a higher level of skill. It’s about building professionalism and gaining experience, both at the same time! Why would people want to work with you if all you care about is their money, rather than making a difference or providing valuable service?   1. nooooo pls don’t get them in trouble maybe I was the one giving bad vibes….. okay but in all seriousness parent teacher conferences can be hard because I always want parents to be kept in the loop about what’s going on in school but also understand that middle school is such a difficult age for kids! I definitely didn’t make the best decisions when I was 12, it’s understandable as they’re navigating new experiences and emotions and situations they’ve never been in before. I always try to give my students the benefit of the doubt, while also maintaining expectations and implementing consequences if necessary. Sometimes a simple conversation can go a long way!   2. gen z teacher problems 😅 it was even worse when I was student teaching, because I was working at a high school. I got stopped by security leaving the campus a couple times asking where my pass was 😭 to be clear I’m not complaining at all it’s never a big deal haha but it’s always funny when someone says something, especially during parent teacher conferences sometimes they’re surprised.
